The US State Department has reinstated its assertion that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange put lives at risk — but it declined to say how.
Mr Assange landed back in Australia on Wednesday after pleading guilty to violating espionage law in a deal that sets him free from a 14-year legal battle.
He served time behind bars in the UK and stayed at the Ecuadorian embassy in London whilst fighting extradition to the United States, having been responsible for one of the biggest leaks of classified material in American history.
