UK ELECTION CAMPAIGN: GENDER, DEFENCE, WATERWAYS

The Conservatives are promising to end "confusion" about legal definitions of sex and gender on the UK election campaign trail.

The party says it'll make it easier for women and girls' services - such as domestic violence support - to exclude biological males.

Equalities minister Kemi Badenoch says it's about providing clear guidance.
