The United States Supreme Court has ruled against the Justice Department for using a criminal charge to prosecute hundreds of rioters who took part in the deadly attack on the US Capitol three years ago.
It means dozens of convictions may now be overturned — and it could have profound implications for the case against Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who was among those charged.
