Americans in several US states nationwide are heading to the polls today (Tuesday) to cast their ballots in races that could help determine the ideological make-up of Congress, with the fate of progressive and far-right lawmakers at stake.
These sets of votes — known as primaries, to pick candidates for election in November — feature the most expensive House of Representatives primary in history, in a suburb of New York City.
