Modi secures support of allies, power sharing talks not over yet

Coalition politics are back in play in India after a decade of dominance by Prime Minister Modi's party.

Modi has been chosen by his allies to lead their coalition but they are yet to formally tell the Indian President they have enough numbers to form the next government.

In the last two terms, Modi's party on its own, breached the 272 mark needed to form the government. This time, it won only 240 seats.
