Police in the Georgian capital Tbilisi have fired water cannons and
tear gas to disperse crowds protesting against a controversial foreign
agent bill.
Under the proposal media organizations and NGOs that receive more than
20 percent of their funding from overseas would need to register as
serving the interests of a foreign power.
Critics of the move say it mirrors similar laws in place in Russia.
