U.S. highest court considering punishment for homeless public sleeping


The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments on Monday weighing up whether it's ok for a city to punish homeless people for camping on public property when they have nowhere else to go.

The case was ruled against in a lower court on appeal based on the Eight Amendment against 'cruel and unusual' punishment.
