Trade Unions in Nigeria Threaten Protests Over Electricity Tariff Hike

Trade unions in Nigeria are threatening to protest the government's increase in electricity tariffs for consumers.

 

There have been calls for the hike to be reversed, but the government says it is trying to achieve a cost-reflective tariff, devoid of its over 2 billion dollar subsidies on electricity.
