Opposition parties in India are accusing Prime Minister Modi's BJP of not wanting to disclose details of its donors and donations till after the general election this spring.
The State Bank of India was issuing a political funding scheme also known as electoral bonds, which has now been scrapped.
The bank asked the country's Supreme Court on Monday for a three-month extension to provide all information related to the scheme.
