The Vice President of the United States is due to meet with a member of Israel's war cabinet in Washington later today (on Monday) to discuss how to get humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Kamala Harris and Benny Gantz are also expected to talk about the need for a temporary ceasefire.
According to Gantz's office he will also meet US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
