US spacecraft moon mission ends early

The first US spacecraft to land on the moon in more than 50 years is about to lose power.

Odysseus is just hours away from running out of battery due to a botched landing, cutting short its lunar mission by as many as five days.

The probe's Texas-based company, Intuitive Machines, saw its shares collapse on Tuesday after announcing the news.

From the southern US state, Benji Hyer reports.
