UK inflation holds at 4%

The rate of inflation remained unchanged at 4 per cent in the UK last month - despite economists' forecasts it would rise.

It remains well above the Bank of England's 2 per cent target, driven by higher gas and electricity prices.

Finance minister Jeremy Hunt says inflation doesn't fall in a straight line.
