A diplomatic row has broken out between South Africa and Nigeria ahead of a Wednesday semi-final encounter between both countries at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The war of words began after Nigeria warned its citizens resident in South Africa to be watchful of their utterances and be mindful of where they watch the match, especially in public places.
The warning was intended to prevent the provocation of xenophobic attacks by frustrated South African supporters.
