Inflation gauge holds steady in January

A key inflation gauge watched closely by the U.S. Federal Reserve has
posted its lowest annual increase since March 2021.

The personal consumption expenditures price index ticked up 0.3
percent in January and 2.4 percent year on year which was in line with
analyst expectations.
