India's main opposition party says bank accounts unlocked briefly after tax freeze

India's main opposition party Congress says it has been allowed to access its bank accounts for four days hours after it claimed all of its bank accounts have been frozen months ahead of a national election.

The party has called this 'the death of democracy'.

India's ruling party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is yet to respond.
