Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico says Hungary should not face punishment in Brussels for defending its national interests.
The newly-elected Fico has been on his second foreign trip, meeting Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest.
Analysts say the right-wing leaders could form a powerful partnership within the European Union, as the bloc tries to approve fresh aid for Ukraine.
