British court finds AI cannot be named as inventor for patent

A British court has ruled that artificial intelligence cannot be named as an inventor on a patent. An American computer scientist brought a lawsuit against the Intellectual Property Office after it rejected his application for AI to hold the rights to a patent for some of its creations.
