WMO confirms 2023 will be the warmest year on record

The World Meteorological Organization has confirmed that 2023 is set
to be the warmest year on record.
According to the organisation's provisional State of the Global
Climate report released on Tuesday, the world is now about 1-point-4
degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial baseline.
