Tens of thousands of people are packing out the National Mall in Washington DC on Tuesday for a huge 'March for Israel' rally — to show support for the country, demand the release of the hostages held by Hamas and call for efforts to combat antisemitism, which has spiked worldwide since the October 7th attack and the subsequent war in Gaza.
At a particularly fraught time for Israel and American Jewry, organisers are hoping to rekindle the energy of major Jewish community marches in the US in decades past, as Benji Hyer reports.
