Parts of Southeast Asia Blanketed is Smog Due to Forest Fires

Several parts of southeast Asia are blanketed in smog caused by forest fires.

It occurs frequently during the dry season as farmers clear land for palm oil and pulp and paper plantations and can bring serious public health risks.

Regional campaigner strategist for Greenpeace Heng Kiah Chun says a transboundary haze act is needed to stop the air pollution.
