Guterres: "I believe it was necessary to set the record straight"

The United Nations Secretary General says he is shocked at the
misrepresentations by some about his statements on Tuesday in the
Security Council.
His statement comes after Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan called on
the UN Secretary General to resign, claiming his statement that the
"attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum" was disconnected from
the reality in the region.
