US House Speaker Republican Kevin McCarthy has announced he's
launching an impeachment inquiry aimed at removing President Joe Biden
from office.
The top Republican claims Biden benefited financially from his
family's business dealings while he was serving as vice president.
McCarthy called the investigation the "logical next step".
An inquiry would allow witnesses to be called, as part of his aim to
obtain the Bidens' bank records and other documents.
McCarthy made the announcement on Capitol Hill.
