Morocco earthquake death toll nears 2,500

The death toll from the earthquake in Morocco has now risen to almost
2,500 as rescuers continue to dig for survivors with their bare hands.

The remote mountainous area where the quake hit is making it hard for
heavy machinery to reach the worst-hit villages.

Many roads in the mountains remain impassable.

Alex Cadier in Marrakesh, the nearest city to the epicenter, says
people in the city are trying to help however they can.
