In addressing the opening the Climate Ambition Summit in New York on
Wednesday, U.N Secretary General Antonio Guterres called on world
leaders to stop dragging their feet
and accelerate the move from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
Guterres called the summit on the sidelines of the U.N High-Level
General Assembly to once again stress the importance of climate
change.
The Secretary General says the world needs to immediately reduce
emissions and limit global warming to 1.5 degrees celsius.
