Intro;
The UN has announced the closure of the Human Rights office in Uganda after 18 years.
This follows the Government of Uganda's decision not to renew the Host Country Agreement.
The closure comes amid concern over human rights violations including extrajudicial killings and a new anti-gay law that prescribes the death penalty for some homosexual acts.
