India and China have agreed to maintain peace and tranquility in border areas in eastern Ladakh amid a years-long military standoff, according to a joint statement issued following the 19th round of Corps Commander level talks.
This comes as the leaders of both China and India are set to meet in the next few weeks during the BRICS and G20 summits.
