Beijing blasts Taiwan VP for brief US stopover

CUE: China’s condemned Taiwan’s vice-president William Lai as a “troublemaker through and through” for briefly visiting the United States on his way to Paraguay. 

Mr Lai is a front-runner to become president of Taiwan in next year’s election.
