UN says its humanitarian operations are continuing in Niger, despite coup

The United Nations says it still has not had any contact with the
military following the coup in Niger.
Speaking to the media from the capital on Friday, the UNDP
Representative in Niger, Nicole Kouassi said its operations are still
continuing on the ground.
More than 3.3 million people in the country receive food aid from the
United Nations.
Kouassi said she is concerned about the border and airspace closures
as this could affect their humanitarian operations.
