The US could have a debt ceiling deal by the end of the week,
according to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
He was optimistic following a meeting at the White House with
President Joe Biden.
The US is trying to raise its borrowing limit ahead of a June 1st
deadline when the country could default on its debts.
After the meeting McCarthy spoke to reporters.
