The Kremlin has been forced to overhaul the way it taxes Russian oil exporters due to the G7 price cap, according to an anonymous G7 official speaking to the British press.
According to the official, the oil companies will now be more heavily taxed - and therefore less able to invest in oil infrastructure, which is one of President Vladimir Putin's priorities.
The G7 says that's all part of its strategy to force Russia into making 'difficult choices' about its main source of income.
