SUGGESTED LEAD
Uganda has flagged off about 1000 soldiers to the Democratic Republic of Congo as part of the East African Regional Force to protect civilians and property in the areas occupied by the M23 Rebels.
They join Kenya, Angola, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Burundi forces that are already in the country.
Over 130 armed groups are based in Eastern DR Congo and have destabilized the mineral-rich country for decades.
