The Macron government's controversial pension reform plan goes before the French parliament today/ Monday/February 6, with fierce debate expected among MPs.
The bill, which would see the age of retirement raised from the current 62 to 64 is widely unpopular, although the government says it's necessary to keep the pension system from crumbling.
