Philippines Restores Air Traffic Control Operations Following Power Outage

The Philippines has restored air traffic control operations out of its capital, Manila, after hundreds of flights were suspended due to a malfunction.

More than 280 flights were delayed, cancelled or diverted as a result of the technical issues that forced authorities to close the country's airspace.

The transport ministry said a problem with the power supply led to a loss of communication, radio, radar and internet.

Nancy Chua was travelling from Manila back home to Singapore with her two young children and says her flight was delayed by 13 hours.

IN: It was a horrible experience
OUT: and they said no.
