Nigeria's Inspector-General of Police has ordered the deployment of armed personnel along Abuja-Kaduna route, as train services on that route resumes.
Train operations have been suspended in the last eight months by the Nigeria Railway Corporation, following a Boko haram attack on a Kaduna-bound train in March, that left at least eight people dead and dozens kidnapped.
According to the NRC, services will begin with two train rides from Abuja to Kaduna and vice versa.
Ajeck Mangut reports from Abuja.
