Japan’s households spend more despite falling real wages

Japan’s households spent more for the fifth consecutive month on a rebound in tourism after Covid restrictions were lifted. 

This comes even as real wages fell sharply… suggesting it’s not such a bright outlook for the world’s third-largest economy.
