UK court hands out penalty of more than $300m to Glencore subsidiary over bribery offences

A London court has ordered a British subsidiary of Glencore to pay a total penalty of more than 300 million US dollars in a bribery case.

Glencore Energy UK Limited, part of the global mining and trading giant, pleaded guilty to bribery offences in relation to its operations in Africa.
