MIGRANTS MOVED OUT OF 'INHUMANE' PROCESSING CENTRE

Hundreds of migrants have been moved out of an overcrowded processing centre in southern England after criticism about inhumane conditions.

Around 4000 people were being held at the Manston facility - which is made to hold 1600.

40 000 migrants have arrived on the south coast of the UK this year in boats and dinghies crossing the English Channel.

James Jamieson from the Local Government Association says local councils are not getting early communications about housing migrants - particularly unaccompanied children.
