European Union lawmakers are set to give their seal of approval to new legislation aimed at boosting the number of women on corporate boards.
The laws will apply to all large publicly-listed companies in the bloc, mandating more transparent recruitment procedures.
Currently only around 30% of board members in the EU's largest publicly listed companies are women.
