The White House says no change is being made to America's nuclear posture, despite President Biden's claim on Thursday night that the world may be heading towards Armageddon over the crisis in Ukraine.
The President told a private fundraising event that Vladimir Putin's threat to use nuclear weapons is the greatest challenge the world has faced since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, speaking aboard Air Force One today, insisted the President did not seek to cause alarm.
