U.S. stocks surge on hopes of a more dovish Fed

There were big gains on Wall Street at the start of the trading week
as investors assess whether the Federal Reserve will pull back on its
interest rate hikes.

The central bank has been moving aggressively to ease inflation but
some analysts believe recession fears may prompt a shift in tactics.
