The Ukrainian Government has confirmed that an advanced air defence system handed over by Germany in recent weeks is already operational and intercepting Russian missiles.
Berlin delivered the first of four of the systems to Kyiv earlier this month - a move welcomed by President Zelensky who says more of the defence technology is needed to protect civilians from attacks.
