Chinese President Xi Jinping is on day two of his first trip abroad since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. President Xi is in Uzbekistan for the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The group includes core members Russia, China, India, Pakistan and the Central Asian states -- partners include Turkey and Iran.
The summit is seen as a landmark event, as the group of leaders gathers for talks for the first time since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
