Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky claims the country has recaptured more than 3500 square miles of territory from the Russians so far this month, and he's promising further efforts to push Russian forces back.
There's been no independent confirmation possible of the Ukrainian leader's claims, but there is widespread evidence to support the view that the Russians have suffered heavy losses in the last few days.

The leader of Russia’s Communist Party is now describing the situation in Ukraine as a full-scale war and is urging President Putin to engage in a full-scale nationwide call-up of additional troops.
But calls are also growing in Russia for Vladimir Putin’s resignation as news spreads of Ukraine’s
recent military victories.
