The UK government has announced major tax cuts, to be funded by significant borrowing.
Finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng vowed to end what he called a 'cycle of stagnation', unveiling the biggest tax cuts since 1988.
It comes as the Bank of England warns the UK may already be in recession.
