EU border agency reports rapid rise in Russians entering the bloc

66,000 Russian citizens entered the European Union last week, a 30% rise compared to the previous week. That's according to Frontex, the EU's border management agency.

Last Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial military call-up to bolster troop numbers fighting in Ukraine. Widespread reports of Russians fleeing the country to dodge conscription have emerged since then.
