US President Joe Biden has celebrated the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act at the White House, even as high consumer prices continue to bite.
The event hailing the $430 billion law - which aims to fight climate change, reduce drug prices and tackle inflation - took place on the same day that new government data showed an unexpected August rise in prices.
