Former tennis world number one and 21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has confirmed he won't be travelling to New York for the US Open, which kicks-off on Monday.
The Serb was hoping to compete and win his fourth trophy at Flushing Meadows, but since October last year, the United States has banned entry for non-citizens who aren't vaccinated against Covid-19.
Djokovic did not defend his Australian Open title in January because his vaccination status led to him being deported from the country.
