GERMAN GOVERNMENT SPLIT ON NUCLEAR SHUTDOWN

As Russia continues to cut back gas supplies to Germany, the government in Berlin remains split on whether to fall back on nuclear power to help ensure electricity supplies. 

The leader of one of the three coalition partners currently in government says it's time to reconsider closing the last remaining nuclear power plants given the unprecedented energy crunch facing the country.
