Ex-officer sentenced to prison for taking part in January 6th riot

A former U.S. police officer has been sentenced to more than 7 years
in prison, for his role in storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6th,
2021

It matches the longest sentence to date, among hundreds of cases
relating to the insurrection.
