Biden signs key climate legislation into law

US President Joe Biden has signed a bill into law which will provide
hundreds of billions of dollars to help fight climate change.

The White House describes the Inflation Reduction Act as the largest
climate investment in American history.

It also extends health insurance subsidies and raises taxes on
America's biggest corporations.

The act took a year and a half to negotiate through Congress and is
seen as a big win for President Biden, who cut short his vacation to
attend the signing ceremony in Washington.
